Hi, my name is Emmerson Freewalt and I was first introduced to volleyball by my friends, 12 year old me went in to it hoping for something to bond over and was immediately hooked by the sport right from the beginning. Starting volleyball at a later age was hard after playing soccer since I was 5, but with a strong work ethic and a strong mind I pushed myself to get better everyday, and seeing the progression furthered me to work even harder. The useful coaching I have gotten and the great environment volleyball gave me pushed me to want more out of the sport and myself. I strive to keep a strong balance between my academics and sports to make sure I am well rounded for the future, taking honors and AP classes and getting reps in whenever I can at the gym. The lessons I have learned from volleyball have not only helped me on the court, but also help me in everyday life. I have trained to become the best I can be and keep my energy and attitude high while also looking out for my teammates or peers and making sure they know I will always have their back. I continue to work to get better and hope to go as far as I can to one day be able to play college ball!
Thanks for reading!
Emmerson
