My goal as a college athlete is to be great and I'm interested in academics and volleyball that will enable "greatness" in me.
I want to be part of a program, team and community that develops strong and smart women to be leaders on the volleyball court, in the classroom and in the workplace.
My commitment to the program and my teammates is to have a great time playing volleyball because I love it and live by three principles (1) achieve success, (2) build relationships and (3) create a meaningful life because volleyball is more complex than the physical contributions it requires. In successful and challenging times, I’m a supportive teammate, I have a 5-star work ethic and high volleyball IQ and I have the intangible qualities that coaches look for: be on time, effort, body language, high-energy, positive attitude, passion, be coachable, do extra and be prepared.
My mindset is to win because I'm the quarterback on the court. I make smart decisions because I study the game strategically and tactically and I know that I’m responsible for a big part of my team's success. That motivates me to work on my athletic ability and technical skill to set all positions consistently, play defense and block.
I believe in the process it takes to achieve greatness even when I’m setting against a wall in a gym. I want to see greatness in the program I am apart of and I am willing to work for my teammates and the alumni who came before me to leave a legacy that will make the team, coaches, and community proud. Thank you.
