Recently, I have come back from an extremely difficult injury every athlete dreads. I had a total loss of my acl and a meniscal tear. Having to sit out of everything during the middle of my club season made me realize how much passion and how determined I was to come back stronger. Watching my teammates make mistakes that could be fixed by taking one more step made me want to come back from my injury and not give any coach the opportunity to tell me to move my feet, as I wanted to always be giving it 110%. This Injury has been the most difficult experience I have ever had, but has made me stronger.
This experience has made me an ideal fit for college competition. When my injury took my playing time away, I had learned the true value of having the privilege to have the opportunity to physically be able to give it your all. This is exactly what I want from my college experience. I want to get knocked down off my feet, and get back up even stronger by not giving up. I not only want this for myself, but I want to share this with my peers by being someone they could look up to.
