I began playing volleyball in 5th grade and I automatically fell in love with the sport. I was continuously chosen as a captain and was able to lead my 8th grade team to be eligible to play in at least one game in the championship series. During my freshman and sophomore years in high school, I was selected to play on the varsity team as a starting Libero. We made it to the conference championship series ending in 3rd place, and I was also selected to receive a 1st team all-conference award as a freshman. I am currently playing for the Chicago Elite Volleyball Club on the 16 Regional team. I am fully committed to play volleyball. I have great energy and a great attitude on and off the court. During the volleyball season, I have learned that playing helps me stay more academically focused, organized, and maintain time management. Playing also allows me to learn leadership skills and be more comfortable with myself when I’m on the court. Academically, I aspire to become a Physical Therapist and/or to major in Kinesiology. Learning about the workings of the body and how to stay healthy and keep exercising really catches my attention. I am looking for a school that academically and athletically fits and challenges me to become better as a player, student, and person.
