Hello, my name is Gillian Colledge. I am a junior at Evanston Township High School in Illinois. I found volleyball in seventh grade and immediately knew I loved the sport. I started club in eighth grade, and have worked hard to hone my skills as a hitter and blocker. I played on my freshmen team, then was a starter on varsity my sophomore and junior years. I made the Elite program at Adversity Volleyball Club (Vernon Hills, IL) this past fall and am loving the competitive edge this club has with intensive position training and conditioning as well as standard regular practices. I know I want to play volleyball in college because I love the sport, I love my team family, and it is both challenging and fun working hard and playing hard. I am very coachable and also have a dedicated academic mindset. Being a musician since the age of five has helped me become a disciplined and more well-rounded person. Music also came with some competitive opportunities for spots in higher-level orchestras, including the Music Institute of Chicago and the Midwest Young Artists Conservatory. I'm looking for a college that is both challenging academically and pushes me athletically. I'm a hard worker and always determined to improve. I am open to finding the right fit anywhere that is mutually beneficial. Please check out my tournament schedule--I would love to provide court details if you will be at one of these tournaments and want to see me play!
