Katelyn Marcelain '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello I am Katelyn ever since I've stepped onto the court to play a volleyball match I knew that this was the right sport for me. I have been involved with volleyball pretty much my whole life I went to as many games as I could of my older siblings which were 7 and 4 years older then me so ever since I was like 4 I've been watching volleyball. My goal ever since I was little was try to put the best effort into what I love most and that happens to be Volleyball. Another long term goal I have always set was to play college volleyball or trying to play as long as I can. Till this day if someone were to ask me my number one goal I will say to play college volleyball. I may not be the best volleyball person out their but you will catch me trying to work hard to become a great volleyball player. I am a big person on trying to make others happy and be there for them, and when it comes to sports I inspire to be the best teammate and encourage even if I'm not on the court at the time I will always cheer loudly. I try my best to have a great interactions with those around me to see what we have in common or just to chat. I take my athletic career very seriously. Where I am a 3 sport athlete which include, volleyball, basketball, and track, And since freshman year I have been on the varsity team for all 3 throughout the seasons so I like to consider myself a hard worker in my athletic career. When it comes to my Academic career I try and never let my grades go below a B, within my 2 years of high school I have pretty much have most A's so I try to work really hard when it comes to those big tests I take my time and study even if that means not hangout with friends then I take that time to get me ready for my test. During school I love to try and get close with my teachers to build a strong relationship throughout my high school career!
