Savannah Grimes '19 Recruiting Profile

Volleyball. Ever since I can remember, I have been playing volleyball in the backyard, between games of my sisters' tournaments, and with my parents and neighbors. I have so much passion for the game, and I like to be in charge of the floor. I play with a great deal of intensity and encourage my teammates, even if that means taking the blame for a missed point or bad game. I realized in volleyball that mistakes will happen, and as essential as it is to prevent these unforced errors, the best way to stay positive is focusing on the next point. My goal is to continue my volleyball career at the collegiate level, but most importantly, pursue my dream to study math, engineering and science, and eventually join the chemical engineering field. I am a three-sport athlete and have experience with balancing school, clubs, work, and sports. No matter what I do, I strive to be the best that I can be.
