My name is Mattyson Hoffman and I am interested in playing Volleyball in college. I began playing Volleyball in seventh grade so I have learned very quickly. Prior to that I cheered competitively for ten years, winning four National Championships. I gave up cheer in the 10th grade in order to join a club volleyball team. I have played two years for Crossroads of America, and am currently playing my third year of Varsity Volleyball at North Knox High School.
I have started on my high school varsity team as a sophomore, junior and senior. I was awarded the most improved player award last season. I continue to work on my skills by playing club volleyball, attending camps and clinics, taking private lessons, and working with a personal trainer. What I lack in experience I make up for with instinct and competitiveness.
In addition to playing Volleyball I have been a member of the varsity cheer team, the track team, and the Show Choir. I was named Dance Captain for the 20-21 school year. I will be competing this year on an all star cheer team where I have been named to a level three and four Senior team. I am a member of FCA and Spanish Club.
I have a 3.25 GPA, and am a member of the National Honor Society. I am active in my local church, and am a member of the youth group.

- February 4, 2020 To whom it may concern: I am writing this letter on behalf of Matty Hoffman. I am her coach for the Crossroads of America (COA) club 18s team. Matty is a dedicated, goal-oriented, and self-driven athlete. This is only her second year playing club volleyball and in that very short time, she has risen to the challenge and is very competitive. She is an outside and right side hitter on our team and can also be used in the backrow. I have seen Matty become a strong communicator on the floor that has unified our team. She knows the game and is a leader by example and a consistent presence. She is a strong athlete, and as a junior, has a desirable work ethic, is coachable and is a team player. While Matty can be quiet and reserved, she is a talented athlete. She is improving every day and is willing to work hard to get where she wants to go. She has incredible potential to contribute to a collegiate level team. From my experience as a past D1 middle hitter for Butler University, no one has tapped into this athlete’s full potential. With consistent exposure to high level coaching and skill development, Matty will excel and contribute at the college level. I look forward to seeing her do great things in the years to come!
