Julia Wood '17 Recruiting Profile

I am very interested in keeping my volleyball career going into college. My goal is to play at a high level while also getting a good education. I love every aspect of the game.  I want to continue to play, learn, improve and help my team.   I think playing in college would help me reach that goal. I am a good candidate for your team because I am a team player.  I put in as much time that is necessary, play hard and do what is best for the team to be successful.  Also, I am quick on the court, and can read where the ball is going well based on the shoulders and hands(if a girl was tipping) of the hitter.  I always work very hard and put in the effort on the court whether it is a game or in practice. I am different than other recruits because I can have fun when we are having a good time but when we need to get serious, I can turn it on very quickly. I have a very interesting personality. On the court I am loud and talkative, but off the court I can be kind of quiet. Once I get to know people, my actual personality comes out and I am a very goofy, loving, caring and fun person. I care a lot about my grades and how well I do in school. They are very important and I put the effort in to make sure they are good. If I do not understand something in a class, I ask questions. I make sure that I know what is going on in all my classes so not to fall behind.
