Personal Statement
I plan to minor in Spanish and major in chemistry and possibly biology with the intent of becoming an anesthesiologist or chemistry teacher/volleyball coach (I am undecided which route to take yet). An in-state college is my most likely choice, but I plan to apply for both academic and volleyball scholarships to possibly attend an out-of-state college with a reputable academic program. I am a 3.9 honors student.
I am a very motivated character in both school and volleyball alike. I do not get down on myself for not being the best on the court, but take pride in even being on the court instead. I am a quick learner and am easy to teach. While on the court, I am known for bringing my teammates up, and on more than one occasion, I have been approached by referees telling me that it was encouraging to see me on the court trying to keep everyone's spirits high and optimistic. I'm light on my feet and easy to get along with. I believe these qualities make me a valuable asset to volleyball on a collegiate level. This year, and however many more years of volleyball I have left, is dedicated to my father, who passed away from Covid-19 this past summer.
