Personal Statement

I have been a competitor my whole life. I began playing in a basketball league when I was 7. The summer after 5th grade I attended my first volleyball camp. That following fall I participated in my first club tryout made the 12-1s team and have been playing with Dunes Volleyball Club ever since.

I have been a varsity starter for volleyball for all 4 years, playing all around. For the past 2 years, I have been a varsity starter in basketball. All of my coaches have praised me for being very coachable and I pursue what roll my coach asks of me without hesitation. I am very competitive; winning is a habit, and so far in my high school career, every team I have been a part of has finished with a winning record.

I am a student athlete. I manage school and sports well with a 4.0 GPA.  Playing volleyball in college has always been a dream of mine. I do not want my volleyball career to end in high school. I want to continue to play as long as I can. I believe I can continue to contribute my talents and competitive drive to benefit a college program.
