Kai Arens '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Kai Arens and I will be a sophomore for the 23-24 school year. I am from Bondurant, Iowa. I'm a multi-sport athlete, but volleyball is where my true passion and where I would like to continue playing at a college level after graduation. 

 I have played club volleyball for 5 years now. I started with a local club I-80 Blues and played there for 2 years and was asked to play setter and have grown into that role and also have been able to start hitting right side as well. I then moved to a bigger club in Ames and have been playing for Iowa Heart. I am a lefty and find that to be a strength of mine when it comes to game play. 

As a freshman I was on both JV and Varsity teams. I had the chance to get some varsity playing time which was an awesome and I look forward to this upcoming school year! Our high school team was 1st in our conference and made it to the state tournament. I play soccer as well. 

I had a GPA of 3.9, in Student Council , an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and a Silver Chord participant.

Outside of school and sports I enjoy running, working out at the gym and spending time with family and friends. Physical fitness is a big part of my life as well, which I believe has helped me greatly in athletics.

I am looking forward to continuing my volleyball career in college and my major is to be determined.
