Macy Rayburn '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Macy Rayburn and I am a right-side hitter for the Fairfield Varsity team.  As a freshman for my travel club team I got moved up from the 15U team to the 17U team. On this travel team, my position changed from a middle hitter to a right-side hitter which resulted in me playing a right-side hitter at the varsity level which I fell in love with. I used the knowledge gained from my club team to realize I had a positive impact playing a right-side hitter during my 2020 and 2021 high school season. I love the chance of playing with upper-classmen who have taught me great lessons on and off the court. My favorite part of volleyball is playing as a team and watching our bond grow stronger as the season continues. I know I still have a lot to learn and I welcome suggestions from all coaches and teammates. I would love to continue to keep improving as a right-side hitter and would like to play volleyball at the collegiate level.

I would like to pursue a degree in education at the middle school level. After spending the last year working with younger children I realized how rewarding is was to help children succeed.  I would like to continue helping children grow and succeed throughout their educational journey.
