Alaina Greenlee '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Alaina and I'm a 2023 5'5 DS/Libero from Iowa City. I attend Iowa City West High School and play libero for my club team, Iowa Rockets. As a freshman, I played JV and Varsity, which fueled a fire in me to earn a starting spot. I am a competitor and hold myself to a high standard. If I am not happy with my performance at practice or in matches, I take the time to get in extra reps and ask my coaches and teammates for feedback, so I can get better. As a result, sophomore year I started every varsity game and had the second most digs on the team (210). Additionally, I was leading the team in aces (22) and serving percentage (194/208 [93.3%]). I continued to grow my junior season as our team went on to go undefeated at home, win our conference, and place second in regionals. I am excited to continue to progress during my senior season. 

In the classroom, I'm a straight A student. I also have excelled with my extracurriculars. Here are just a few of my accomplishments: award-winning journalism, choir, community involvement, and clubs participation on campus. I love to compete and have fun with my coaches and teammates on and off the court. I hope to continue growing athletically, personally, and academically in order to contribute my best to the future program I attend.
