Kate Shannon '19 Recruiting Profile

My all time goal is to make it to a D1 college and Receive a 4 year degree to pursue a career in. There are several things to know about me as a player. I will always give 100% on the court and put full effort into whatever I am doing.  As a teammate I try to be the best leader out there and always have full energy. When someone is down I always try to boost their attitude to make it positive, before it brings down the team. I grew up with two older sisters always competing at their level and always trying to win. They have pushed me to never give up and to always try and be first at everything. I have played almost 5 years of club volleyball. When I was an 11 year old I played up with the 12 year olds,  pushing to better myself and the team. If you asked any and all of my coaches they would tell you I am always ready to work and always ready to go. I am a very competitive person trying to be number 1 and trying to push my team in the direction of success. Academics is something that I am always trying to work harder at. During projects with a group of people or just by myself I try to push myself to do the best that I can do. When others look at me I want them to look and think of me as hardworking, motivating, fun to be around, and the person the pushes their team or just themselves in general to the road to success.
