Ashley Wildeman '20 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing volleyball since 4th grade and have continued on to play club in my recent years for 3 years.  It has always been a dream to play volleyball in college. I am excited to know that I am so close to it becoming a reality. 

My coaches have always told me that I take in feedback very well. I use that to my advantage to be a smarter player on the court. I am very good with my platform and quick on my feet to hustle and get any ball. I also contribute consistent and controlled hits with an explosive jump and a high snap, as well as a consistent serve. I am always looking for things that I can improve and work at harder. I am a very talkative, aggressive, and energetic teammate on the court that would make a great addition to any team. 

I also participate in track at Lawrence High, where I ran on varsity for both years and qualified for Kansas state finals in our 4x100 relay and placed in 2017. In 2018, our 4x100 relay team won the 6A Kansas State Championship.
