Personal Statement
Freshman year was when I really became serious about volleyball. I had just moved from a small town with not much competitive sports opportunities, but I quickly adapted to the more competitive side of volleyball in Kansas City. I learned to play with various types of players with different skills. I am a very strong, coachable player with a lot of motivation, and i hope to continue my volleyball career as long as possible. Throughout the week I look forward to volleyball practices and tournaments with my team. I keep busy with a lot of practice hours along with the amount of school work I am given.
I take very rigorous courses, such as AP and Honors classes, and I am constantly giving what it takes to succeed in those classes and keep all A's. I have been given awards for outstanding achievement in both sports and academics. I never let up when it comes to both school work and volleyball. I'm not the type of student that skips classes or falls asleep during lessons, and under regular circumstances I do not hand in work late or uncompleted. I am a very dedicated, competitive, and motivated student and athlete and I do what it takes to succeed.
