Samantha Gaunce '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Samantha Gaunce. I am 5'2 and weigh 110 pounds. Sports have been a huge part of my life since i was a little girl. Growing up as a team player has made me who I am today. I have played volleyball since the 6th grade and have been Captain every year since. I am a very dedicated person when it comes to sports. No matter what obstical stands in my way I manage to find a way to get around them. I, myself, believe that I am a good leader. I push people to the limit because I like to see them succeed in everything they do. It has been my dream since I was a child to play sports in college. I want to go to the University of Kentucky to study Physical Therapy but I plan on keeping my options open. My goals as an athlete is to be part of a loving/caring team that is determined and head strong. I enjoy playing with people who have their head in the game yet know how to have fun. I hope to be able to play as a freshman and at the highest competition level. I am trying to get a scholarship to help with financials. Once again, sports are my life and I would do anything to keep playing after my high school years. I will give it my all and not let anyone down. Thanks.
