Hi, my name is Dahli Dennis and I would like to introduce myself. I am 16 years old and currently a junior at Sulphur High school in Sulphur, Louisiana. My freshman year in high school I played on the junior varsity team due to being ineligible for the varsity team because of transferring schools. Although, my sophomore year, I was starting on the varsity team! That year I was voted as all-district Honorable Mention. My junior season I remained a starter and received 1st team all district. For club in the 2018-19 season, I played for Houston Skyline Juniors 16-white team (which is a 2.5 hour trip one way for tryouts and practices twice a week). I was captain on my team and received the breakout award (most improved) at the end of the season. This year for club I am playing for Texas United’s 17 red team, located in Pearland, Texas. During the summer, I attend multiple camps with college coaches (LSU, SFA, Dallas college coaches camp, Skyline college coaches camp, etc).
I am a good student and although I am very passionate about volleyball, my education always comes first. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout high school and I plan to keep those grades. I have not decided what I would like my major to be, but it will likely be something in the engineering field or maybe physical therapy. I plan to attend a college that is a good match for my academic level and if volleyball would also work out, I would love that!
Thank you for getting to know me! -Dahli
