I'm currently a middle who also plays outside and right side. This has increased my versatility and court awareness as I've learned these positions. It has also benefited my teammates by being able to play where my coaches need me most. I am self-motivated and a high achiever. Academically, I've always made the Honor roll, established good relationships with teachers, participated in multiple extracurricular activities, clubs, and Honors Societies. For my Junior year I've enrolled in 3 AP and 2 Honors classes.
Athletically, I’ve played Varsity Volleyball, Varsity Lacrosse, Varsity Basketball, and Track & Field during my first two years of high school. I’ve loved learning to play multiple sports because I love to compete. This opportunity for cross training has helped to make me the athlete I am now as I’ve increased my speed and agility on the court, and I am eager to be coached in new skills.
When I was four, my parents got divorced, and this honestly has been a big part of my life and forced me to grow up quickly due to family changes. My older sister started playing volleyball when I was ten and I loved attending her games and watching her play. She opened up this world to me and it became the beginning of my volleyball journey as I begged my parents to put me in anything volleyball related. This was the beginning of my passion for the sport and its community.
Throughout the years I’ve played, I’ve grown strong and learned to push myself past limits and mental blocks, both on and off the court. It has provided me with some of my closest friends, forced me to step out of my comfort zone, and introduced me to places I had never seen before through tournament travel. I don’t know where I’d be without volleyball. No matter what is going on in my life, I have always been able to rely on this sport to ground me. I could not be more blessed and am very grateful to be able to participate.
I’m excited to continue my volleyball journey at the next level. I strive to encourage a positive mindset with my teammates on the court. I love to compete and I want to win and play with a team who wants to win. I can’t wait to see where my volleyball journey will take me, the lessons I’ll learn, those whom I will meet along the way, and the friendships yet to be made.
