Just like any athlete/volleyball player I LOVE to play the game; practices, showcases, tournaments and everything in between! The level of joy I find in playing volleyball is unmatched and I hope I continue to experience the thrill and joy of playing volleyball in college. I don't just love playing volleyball, I love to observe and learn as well. I go to college games near my home and learn so much by watching collegiate matches. I get to see in person what I am working towards. Additionally, I like to watch film and learn from both me and my teammates. I watch the game film after each tournament to see both what I did well and should continue and what I can work on in practice to be more effective during games!
I think one thing that makes me a good candidate for a team is that I have worked hard on my mental game and being resilient and having the ability to recover quickly during games. Being able to quickly move forward and onto the next play following a point for the other team is crucial in being successful in a match. I try to not only practice for myself, but as a co-captain of my team, I try to also encourage my teammates when things might be tough, or I can see them possibly getting upset. Ultimately, I want to be able to persevere in the face of adversity and if needed, also help my teammates do the same!
My biggest goal and hope is to be able to join a competitive college volleyball team, where I can be a positive and impactful member of the team!
