Volleyball...I love the feel of the volleyball; I love the weight of the volleyball, I love the sound that is made when my hand contacts the volleyball, I love the look on other players faces when they have to try to block my hit or miss my kill, I love when we cheer each other on when we win that point. I love when we motivate each other when we miss that point. What else can I say but I love so much about volleyball.
But I am more than volleyball; I am equally passionate and competitive about my academic work. Being competitive is not just for on the court. I'm competitive in the classroom. I push myself to take challenging classes both inside and outside of high school. I have already completed ten college-level credit courses and am pursuing an associate degree in Cybersecurity Digital Forensics at my local community college. I also participate in many STEM-related activities and workshops at universities both locally and around the country.
I would rather be busy than bored, so juggling high school, college, volleyball, and my other extracurricular activities, keeps me motivated and excited.
On my team now, I always hype people up and make sure they are okay both on and off the court. When I am on the court, the energy completely changes; people get more excited and play better.

She is explosive and jumps well and can attack all areas of the court. She works hard on her passing and covers a lot of court in the middle back position, always hustling and not letting a ball drop without effort. As a rising junior, she has some time to work on her assertiveness and communication skills on the court, but she definitely has a bright future ahead of her. ** You are often in the right spot, but sometimes defer to other players. In a camp setting where you don't know anyone, this can happen easily, but make sure you are asserting yourself by making loud and early calls on the ball and talking to teammates in between points about responsibilities ** You jump well and hit the ball hard. Work on some more finesse oriented shots like tips and roll shots. Because you hit the ball well, you can cause the other team's defenders to be dug in on defense and you can surprise them by tipping on a good set. ** As an outside hitter, you are always going to be a target on serve receive. You are a solid passer now, but keep working on your passing skills and you all around ball handling skills so that you aren't as much of a target for other team's. We always like to tell our players to after the other team's best hitter on receive and on defense to see if we can tire her out, so keep that in mind!

Campers will have the opportunity to train from all attacking positions at this high intensity, high repetition camp.

- 1 year
- 3 day Girls' Position Training Camp #2 Position Camp will give campers the opportunity to be trained by specialized position coaches. Campers can choose one position or try a new position each day to learn the most cutting edge tactical and technical skills. These skills will then be incorporated into 6 vs. 6 team play.
