Currently, volleyball is a big part of my life, and I will continue playing in college. My goal is to study biomechanical engineering and work towards making prosthetics more efficient and cost effective for the people who need them.
On the court, I am extremely energetic. As the team captain, I am constantly talking to, high-fiving, and cheering my teammates. On my team I am known for making friends at the net between plays. I always want to learn more about the people playing around me in order to improve my own playing.
Since volleyball is both a physical and mental sport, I try my best to stay positive. When I make mistakes, I am quick to move on and learn from them. I love to have fun in games and at practice, but when it is time to play, I focus on the game.
As a hitter I can read the court and hit open spots as well as adapt to difficult sets and out of system plays. In general, I am extremely competitive and work well under pressure. Even after a long day of playing, I am able to put 100% of my energy into the last couple of games. I am coachable and open to trying new plays and techniques. I am always working to improve my game in and out of practice in order to be the best version of myself that I can be and more.
Of the court, I am involved in many activities including NHS, Key Club, NCSO, school chorus, and multiple volunteer programs. I work hard to maintain a 4.0 GPA and spend time helping out around school.
