Alexandra Dzhygit '24 Recruiting Profile

I play volleyball with tremendous enthusiasm. I approach every rep as a learning opportunity when practicing. On and off the court, I am continuously making corrections to myself while recognizing those made by others. Since becoming the Varsity team captain this year, I have worked to improve our teams mental toughness. I firmly believe that the mental aspect of the game has a significant impact, and I constantly brainstorm with my teammates to develop the most effective tactics for boosting our team spirit. I am trying to play volleyball and major in psychology since I want to eventually become a sports psychologist. I am one of the most vocal players on the court, have a lot of passion while playing, and am not afraid to speak up and lead if need be. Volleyball is one of the most exhilarating things I do and I want to play it for as long as possible.
