Makayla White '15 Recruiting Profile

From a young age I have always been a driven athlete that always wants to improve. I am a firm believer that hard work pays off and that there is always room for improvement. My aspirations ever since I was little, are to play at a high level of competition and hopefully improve my volleyball game all-around. Along with a school that gives me the education that I desire. I think what sets me apart from other student athletes is the motivation and dedication I have. Not only do I want to get better, but I want to better my team. I am incredibly dedicated to the teams that I have been apart of and I do everything in my power to better them in everyway possible. I have been raised to be a team player and to always think of the team before yourself which I think puts me at an advantage in a way. I have been incredibly lucky to be in a place where I not only am motivated to make myself better but to push my team to strive for their very best. My character on the court also sets me apart from other recruits. I will constantly try to be a leader when I am out on the court and I will always try to give quick words of encouragement, but in all honesty sometimes I just crack a few jokes to loosen the nerves, tension or even low energy. I'm glad that I was raised to be the motivated and dedicated athlete that I am because I can always push myself to do better and I will never give up.
