Volleyball has been my favorite sport, since they finally offered it in 7th grade. I have played many sports in the past, yet the second I joined volleyball I knew it was the one that I was going to stick with. When I was in middle school and watched my highschool team play, I instantly fell in love. I have always aspired and motivated myself to work towards the next level when it came to volleyball.
Everytime I’m on the court, I'm constantly keeping the energy high as well as a positive attitude. I am a strong believer that volleyball is based around the attitude of the team and how high the energy is. When I finally made my way to the varsity team my sophomore year, I was told to be a middle hitter due to my height. I was told to use my height as an advantage and to work on my hitting skills, which is exactly what I did. From my sophomore to now my senior year, I'm proud to say that I've developed my skills and play in a way that I never have before. When the high school season is over, I switch back to the club where I continue to develop and work on my skills. I've also signed up for many clinics in between high school and club season so that I can keep up with my skills.
In the classroom I am currently taking two honors classes that will contribute to the major I'm interested in pursuing. I maintain a steady 2.9 GPA and am hoping to boost this with my classes this year. I would say I am a hard and dedicated worker when it comes to school. I want to do well and aspire to learn and grow.
I want to attend a College where I can push myself physically and mentally. I think after all these years of training, I am finally ready to take that next step into college.
