My Name is Jenna Kekich, when I was 12 I stopped competing at a high level in gymnastics to pursue volleyball and it’s the best thing that I’ve ever done. I know that I want to play at the collegiate level and that I can contribute and make a difference. I know that playing volleyball in college is a once in a lifetime opportunity that will change my life, I am dedicated and ready to work hard to earn my spot.
I am a team leader, I was named by my coach as a captain my sophomore, junior and senior year. I work hard the second I step on the court during practices and games and I do my best to lead by example for my teammates.
In the classroom, I work very hard to maintain a 3.9 GPA while also taking Honors and AP courses. In addition to volleyball I’m also a member in good standing in the National Honor Society and I am also a member of SADD, (students against destructive decisions).
I am currently weighing my options in terms of a major but I am really leaning towards early childhood education. I want to attend a college where I can push myself in the classroom and on the court. I am open to all options and I’m excited to see what the future brings.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Jenna Kekich
