Volleyball has been my dream ever since I first held a volleyball in 6th grade. I wasn't very good in middle school. I was the only one who could serve overhand so my team made me captain in 8th grade. My sister tried out for Grand River's team in high school and told me that it was no joke. So, to prepare, I found the cheapest club I could find and worked incredibly hard to improve my skills and gain experience. I made the high school team freshman year, but I was best friends with the bench. That following winter and spring, I played club again so I could level up even more. My sophomore year, I became a starter. My coach told me that my hard work paid off. She barely took me off the court. I still have two years of experience I still need to achieve. However, it is never too late to look for a scholarship for the one thing you love doing most in the world.
