Aubrey Carpenter '24 Recruiting Profile

I started my volleyball career in the 3rd grade, but I really fell in love with the game my 8th grade year. Since that time, I have continued to improve my skills through different clubs such as Next Level, and on the national team at USA Michigan. My hard work and dedication allowed me to make the Junior Varsity team as a freshman, and Varsity as a sophomore. I view myself as a leader, and someone who would rather take action, than sit back and watch. Heading into my junior year, my goals are to continue to hone in my skills to prepare me to compete at the collegiate level. 

In addition to working hard on the court, I work equally as hard in the classroom. I am currently maintaining a GPA of 4.167, and have been on the advanced math track since middle school. I have also taken AP U.S. History, and will be taking AP Physics, and AP Psychology this coming year. My future academic goal is to get a 4-year degree in Civil Engineering, as well as a license in Cosmetology.  

A few of my characteristics that will benefit me in achieving these goals are that I am self-motivated, detail-oriented, confident in my abilities, and a team player. I strongly believe that you can only get out what you put in. This type of mindset is what has pushed me to step outside my comfort zone, and succeed both athletically and academically.  

I know that hard work, dedication, and a positive mindset will empower me to achieve anything I put my mind to.
