Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Renae Jaeger from Plainwell High School in Plainwell, MI. I began playing golf when I was about 8 years old starting in the backyard with my dad and then some courses. I then joined PGA Jr League, played in KJGA (Kalamazoo Junior Golf Association) tournaments, and then progressed to GAM state tournaments and Meijer Callaway tournaments. At the beginning of the summer of 2020, I was shooting in the 90's and improved to the 80's over the summer and fall. At my high school conference meet, I shot an 80 for 1st place individually at Gull Lake View West. My goal is to shoot consistently in the 80's and break into the 70's this year. This past month (May 2021) I shot in the 70's for the first time. I shot a 77 at Bedford Valley in Battle Creek, MI. I have also been playing from longer yardages when able to help improve my game.
I would love to work with a college coach that is both fun and serious at the same time, and wants to help me improve my game. I can be shy at first, but much more social once I get to know people. I'm a good teammate and like working with others. I play soccer and basketball in addition to golf at Plainwell High School. I'm competitive in all sports that I play, but it might not always look like it because my coaches say I always smile no matter what is happening. Because I play multiple sports and only devote part of the year to golf, I know that I have not reached my potential yet. Grades and academics are very important to me. I have a 3.934 GPA after my first two years of high school. I push myself to do well, I am very organized and I enjoy helping others. I hope you enjoyed learning about me and hope you have a great day!
