Riley Messenger '26 Recruiting Profile

I am just staring my high school career at Portage Northern and my dream since 5th grade has been to play on the varsity team as a freshman. I am happy to say I have just accomplished that goal.  My next goal is to play competitively in college.  Something that makes me stand out from other girls is that I strive to be the hardest worker in the gym and that I love to compete.  I always welcome a challenge whether its playing in a game or during a workout.  I love to challenge myself as well as my teammates.  This year I had the opportunity to try several new challenges, the first was going to Italy to train and play.  This was so amazing and I learned a lot.   Another new thing I tried this year was beach volleyball.  While this wasn't as exciting as Italy I still had fun because I was competing.   I played in three beach volleyball tournaments this summer and my teammate and I won 2 out of the three.
