Hello,
My name is Amelia, but everyone calls me Mia.
Ever since I was young I have dreamed of going to college and playing volleyball at a collegiate level.
My goal is to be the best I can be and come out as a strong player, leader and teammate. I am a multi -sport athlete Volleyball-(MH but can play any position), Basketball-(Post/Center) and Track (Shotput and Discus). In 2018 our Basketball Team went to The State Tournament. Sports are a huge part of my life, but volleyball is my true passion.
I have been playing volleyball since the 5th grade and have always excelled and played at a higher level. My first year of playing on the varsity team for volleyball and basketball were in 8th grade however my freshman year was the first year I was awarded a letter in both sports.. I have also been a member of the Mesabi East Volleyball Leadership Council since 2016.
While our hometown is very small, there hasn't been an opportunity to play on a traveling team, but I have played on a Junior Olympic Volleyball Team since 6th grade and will continue to play throughout my high school career.
Additionally, I also play summer league volleyball and basketball at our local college. This summer I was invited to participate in a Collegiate Volleyball Camp at Crown College and previously have attended volleyball and basketball camps at UMD and Mayville State
My hobbies include camping, wake boarding, hunting, four wheeling and spending time with family and friends. I am also an animal lover. We have 2 dogs and 3 cats at home.
I am currently interested in pursuing a career in the medical field or becoming a conservation officer but will need to look for a college that will be the best fit for my family and myself.
Thank you!
