Mariah Christian '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Mariah Christian.  I am a 5' 11" senior at Fertile-Beltrami High School looking forward to carry on my love for the game of Volleyball into the college atmosphere!  I have been told I am a "very coachable kid," always "ready to learn and try new techniques" to better my game personally and for my team.  I have been able to hold Most Valuable Player for three solid years; as a sophmore, junior, and senior.  When I lace up my shoes and wear a jersey, I play for that team with my whole self and all other distractions are zoned out.
If I am able to bring any fire to a team, they know.  My presence is accounted for on and off the court.  My coach told me, as a Captain, I am a great role model for all the kid's in our Volleyball program and all the students in our school as well.  I want to fulfill that in anyway I can, so I hope to deepen my experience with Volleyball in a college that will push me to new levels and pull every ounce of who I am unto that court.  
I plan to pursue Physical Therapy and Athletic Training.  Coaching also interests me because I love to share what I know to help others in any aspect. 
I am open to any college, but I prefer one with a large body of students (8,000+), this will help me push myself in order to get to the top in Volleyball.  With enough drive, I believe I could accomplish this.  D1 or D2 schools are my ideal levels of athletics.  If red shirting as a freshmen is an option, I would take that, just to practice with athletes that will double my level of play and experience I believe is worth it.
