Rebecca Jurgensen '19 Recruiting Profile

Hi, I’m Rebecca Jurgensen and I’m a junior at East Central High School. I hope to attend college to get my degree in Adaptive Physical Education, with a minor in Health Education. I also want to play collegiate level volleyball while I’m attending college. I love playing sports, being around children, and coaching is a dream of mine. I think I would make a good candidate for a college team because of my dedication and coachability. I don’t know everything, but I’m excited to learn and apply new skills. I feel as if I stand out from other athletes because of my experiences on and off the court.

I have played for teams of varying skill levels for the past 7 years, but the past 4 years I have played on National Teams. I know how it feels to sit on the bench - but I’m always cheering my team on. I also know how it feels to play every second and win tournaments. I have played many positions, starting as a Middle Hitter when I was younger and now I love playing DS and Libero. My coaches have always pushed me to be a better player and I thrive on competition and being critiqued to improve.

I give my all and do not give up.

Overall, I feel that this has made me into the player I am today. I look forward to starting my college volleyball career.
