Sophia Strand '25 Recruiting Profile

It isn't magic. It certainly isn't luck. It is deliberation. From the mundane to the minutiae, I exercise the most noteworthy of work ethics. I  exhibit a tireless daily attention in all matters of school work, athletics and community service. Homework, exam preparation, hour upon hour of Sunday night solo practice under fading gym lights, as teammates and opponents are relaxing to the drivel of social media. It amounts to simply this: A minority of student-athletes are passionate about both sides of the hyphen; fewer still add caring engagement with the world around them; finding a young lady willing to actually work toward victory in all three arenas, well...again, it isn't magic. It certainly isn't luck. It's me Sophia!
