For as long as I can remember, I've always been the girl who was "too small" or "too weak" to get minutes- in any of my three sports. I didn't let that impact my love for the game but fueled it instead. I went to the gym and gained healthy muscle mass, I changed my diet, I signed up for private lessons, and best yet- I changed my mindset. Just a few years ago I remember being down on myself because I was putting in the reps and still not getting the court time I desired.
It has shaped me. I am using this experience as my energy moving forward. I use this experience to help other teammates along their struggles because I know firsthand what it's like. It has given me so much confidence to be proud of who I am and stand for. I have learned that working hard physically does have its benefits, but the mindset is just as important.
My body can do anything my mind thinks it can. I am so excited to go into my junior year of high school with my past experiences because I have learned to be patient and communicative. My coaches have also noticed, as I have been selected as captain in my sports as well as invited to sports leadership seminars. I have not yet decided on my academic area of study at the college level but do have interests in several things (all very different!). I am taking many biology track courses this year in high school as well as college-level Spanish, Speech and Literature courses. My Hudl profile: https://www.hudl.com/profile/16843516/Paxyn-Rendahl
Thank you for your interest in me. I feel it's important to note that I have committed to play basketball.
