Cassie Aversman '23 Recruiting Profile

My goals and aspirations are to play collegiate volleyball and obtain a business degree. Volleyball is my passion; although, I do want a fulfilling job as well. I would love to have a business degree and then go to the real estate field. I am highly interested in a school that challenges me physically and mentally. I am also interested in a school that has a very competitive athletic program. I am currently in a high school that has a very competitive environment. Volleyball is a sport that I love and one day I hope to compete at a collegiate level. 

As a setter I am a leader on my volleyball team, I understand the dynamics of the game exceptionally well, and have played multiple positions through club ball. Being a quick learner, I would be a big asset to the team! I have played libero, outside hitter, but the main position I play is a setter. 

I am very selfless; I put my teammates before myself so that our team comes out on top. This past season I had the most lifts and the most attendance to everything that the coaches put out. My freshman year I was a starter on the varsity team, we went to state and ended up getting second. This year we made it to the quarterfinals, one game away from the state final four. That loss taught me a lot about who I want to be as an athlete and how I expect my teammates to be as well. I am already looking forward to next season and have started training.
