I have been playing volleyball for as long as I can remember. I began playing competitively at the age of 10 and fell in love with the team sport.
During my sophomore year of high school I felt I was not on a path that would adequately prepare me for college, so I transferred schools with a more rigorous academic and athletic program.
Transferring schools proved to be life changing for me. I had to work harder in the classroom to maintain good grades while pushing myself on the court to be the best teammate I could be for my team. I was able to maintain a 3.81 GPA while becoming one of the top point contributors on the team. We ended the 2018-2019 school year as District and Sectional Champions, while earning second place in the Missouri State Volleyball Championship.
Calvary Lutheran High School has given me several additional great opportunities such as volunteering with organizations like the Special Learning Center and Special Olympics. These opportunities have helped guide me in what I wish to pursue in my future, which is help children in need.
I'm looking to pursue a degree in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy to make this dream come to fruition, while continuing my volleyball career.
An important aspect of who I am is making a goal and following through with it, whether in the classroom or on the court.
