Emmerson Browne '27 Recruiting Profile

I first fell in love with the game of volleyball at the age of 9 after spending the 4 previous years in the competitive cheer and gynmastics world. Third grade was my first year playing club and I didn’t get much playing time in 11u tournaments comprised of mostly 5th graders. I practiced hard and didn’t give up and am now entering my 7th year of club volleyball. Entering freshmen year of high school I set a goal to make the varsity team. Once I made the team, my goal was to work harder than everyone else to earn my spot on the court. By mid season, I earned a starting position and was playing all around shortly after. I enjoy working towards goals and developing my skills.

As a player, my strengths include defense, serving and a coachable attitude. I enjoy supporting my teammates. I have been told I am a focused and humble player. I am not as tall as my teammates so I am working hard to increase my verticle and stay competitive.

I play volleyball all year round: school ball, club ball, and sand volleyball. I also enjoy drawing and spending time with family and friends. Academics are important to me; I am taking multiple college prep courses and am active in Student Council. I enjoy going to college volleyball camps and games, but also practice my skills at home and in the local gym. 

My work ethic is strong and I work hard, but also have fun. My biggest goal is to play volleyball in college!
