Madisyn Steinkraus '18 Recruiting Profile

    Having been a part of the West Holt High School volleyball program was an excellent experience and it was my absolute favorite part of my high school career. I was versatile and worked the whole court from freshman year to my senior year. I suited up my freshman year and played right side but my sophomore year I transitioned to an outside hitter but just played back row my sophomore year then moved up to all around my junior and senior year.  

    I aspire to be a collegiate volleyball player after graduation high school becuase my passion for the sport is crazy and I feel like I have a lot of talent I can offer to other teams granted I am not the tallest so you wont see me playing the front row a lot but the row would be my home on the court. I received the awards of most digs on the team this year with 391 digs, most aced serves with 38, and most perfect serve received passes with 459. I was supposed to play libero this year for my team but we didn't have enough girls to play front row so I had to play all the way around. My whole high school career I had a total of only 244 kills, 79 aces, 13 solo blocks, 716 digs, and 1051 serve received balls.

    One of my goals this year was to make an NVC class team and I took the second team award and I am waiting for the other listings to come out. I am proud of my high school career and I am hoping I can continue my career after high school.
