Hello, my name is Ella Carmen and I am an Libero and DS for the class of '25. I first got into volleyball last year, my freshman year. I just thought I would do it as fun, and I fell in love with the sport. I played back row and OH my freshman year and I started club volleyball after the High School season. My sophomore year highschool season I started on varsity and I played all the way around, I played OH and DS and I did serve receive for every rotation. It sounds weird but we worked our rotations around having me on serve receive every time. For this year I started as a OH playing all the way around but after some roster changes I am now the libero. I am still playing club volleyball now for MVBC in marlton. I am a go-to player, and I can play anywhere, in any position. I try to keep my team moving and full of energy even when someone makes a mistake or is feeling bad. Ever since I started playing volleyball, I have been so much happier. My goals have changed so much from recently wanting it play soccer in college, to wanting to play volleyball now for a good school. I have been working so hard to keep getting better and keep my grades up, as well as working on my vertical. I have a 4.0 gpa and I pride myself on my ability to keep pushing. I go to Shawnee High School in Medford NJ and I can't wait to keep progressing.
