Coming from a small community, I have gained the mentality that your team is your family. As in many families, not everyone gets along but there must be respect. In order for there to be success, a team must be able to work cohesively together, and respect is a huge part of that. I believe that part of this is achieved academically in which everyone is being challenged and engaged through and by their education. I am a very good student. For the most part, learning comes pretty easy for me and for the subjects that don't, I have a very strong work ethic.
The other half comes from the chemistry of the team, and finding individuals who are diligent and ready to work with others. I know that I am capable of providing theses two components to a college volleyball program. My work ethic carries over from the classroom to the court. I love coming out of practice and games knowing that I put everything I had into it! I am a very well rounded player and want to help my team in any way I can. Wherever I am needed I do my best.
I would absolutely love to continue competing at a high level while also pursuing my education. I am interested in, though I have not yet decided, in a career that helps others through medicine or engineering, I have not yet decided.
