Valerie Sullivan '20 Recruiting Profile

I started playing volleyball Freshman year. My sister, Holly, had played before and I wanted to be able to beat her! So, I joined NFVB and by my Junior year, I made it on their travel team.   I strive to become the best player I can be, and be a reliable teammate.  I would like to grow and use my skills to play collegiate volleyball. I love creating a team that is a family and also being a strong leader.  I always make sure to bring a positive hardworking attitude, and to always cheer on my teammates.  I like to play smart and strategically so I can execute on every play. I dedicate a large amount of time, when I am not playing volleyball, to watching college matches, taking notes on team film, and thinking about how I can be a more effective player. Working hard academically has pushed me to be more focused and productive when playing volleyball.  My future goals are to help raise awareness for problems facing the environment, as well as working toward conservation of our natural resources and wildlife.
