Hi, my name is Jasmin Ortiz I am from The Bronx, NY and my position is Libero/DS. I have an overall 4.0 GPA. I am a 2023 high school graduate. I am an aspiring student-athlete who wishes to continue athletics in college. My goal is to be the first generation to have the opportunity to play at a college level. I have been playing since the 6th grade. I believe that I have a great source of sportsmanship and am very coachable on the court. I would be a good candidate for the team since pushing and trying my best whenever I see an obstacle coming my way. As a student-athlete, I also take responsibility for myself as a student first then an athlete. I believe it takes commitment and actual time to reach the best version of myself in the sport. I believe that practice improves every step I take. I have a strong passion for volleyball, and going through this recruiting process means a lot to me. I feel that I am different from others since I don't partake in any sense of drama and altercations. I am someone who does not like to get into any problems that can affect negatively me. I believe in having trust and creating a sense of unity is what makes a team. Along with that, being a Libero in volleyball is one of the positions I am very proficient in. I feel that I have great eye contact with where the ball is moving towards. I feel like I am to be noticed in court by my use of communication. I am someone who doesn't give up on hustling for the ball and would find a way to save the ball.
