My name is Alexa Stutzman. I plan to play volleyball at the highest level possible, but also compete after college proffessionally. I grew up around division 1 and olympic level athletics. My dad wrestled at the divison 1 level at the University at Buffalo, and currently is the head coach, but he also spent time coaching with team USA at the world championships for many years. My mom is a strength coach at UB as well. My 3 uncles all wrestled division 1 and one of the wrestled with USA and was just a couple wins away from qualifying for the Olympics. My aunt played collegiately at the University of Florida, then went on to play proffesional, and with the USA national team for a short time. Because of the way I was raised I know the meaning of hardwork and how to be great at what you do. Because of my background I grew up talking sports, how to win, and how important hardwork is. I am a very intense person and my family explains a lot about my personality. I work very hard in everything I do, volleyball especially. I play volleyball whenever I can whether it would be playing by myself outside, hitting a ball against a wall inside, or asking one of my teammates to play beach near my house.
I am libero/ds who is from Buffalo, New York and plays club for Academy Volleyball Cleveland 16-1 red. I spent my previous 5 seasons at Niagara Frontier Volleyball, but moved clubs to get better competition. I currently attend Williamsville East High School and Have been the starting libero since 7th grade. This past season,2022, I led my team to the first section finals since 2015. I also made All Western New York 2nd team after helping my team to the finals. I am only the 2nd volleyball player from my school to make an all western New York Team. I have a 3.5 gpa. I do whatever I can to help my volleyball. I love being on the court and in the weightroom. I really enjoy lifting and lift and condition consistently. I read the court very well. One of my biggest strengths is my ability to read the court and my quickness. I am also an agressive player who doesn't let a ball hit the ground. I am a very athletic player who uses that to my advantage. I love being pushed by my teammates and coaches who help me strive to be the best player I can Be.
My goal for volleyball is to play volleyball at the highest level possible. After my college volleyball career I also want to pursue a proffessional volleyball career. I am so lucky to have parents and family that understand what it takes to be a high level athlete.
