Hey! My name is Alexandra-Lyn Caballero! (Alex :))
I started playing volleyball pre-pandemic (7th Grade) for the Catholic Youth Organization at my middle school. Although the season was cut short and I couldn't play for a long while, I began playing again post-pandemic and have grown drastically in my skills and overall performance throughout my 4 years in high school without high school team experience.
This sport has not only kept me active and allowed me to improve, it also brought me to meet the friends and coaches I know today make me a better player. To compete beside people who love this sport as much as I do and to boost them up is one of my favorite parts about it! As a team it is so important to have that chemistry and to grow together, benefitting from each other. I adapt easily to challenges and situations I’m up against. Such as taking criticism and applying it to my mistakes. I’ll do everything to practice and achieve what was once difficult to something of my understanding.
Before Volleyball I was involved in other sports like dance, tennis, and swimming. Growing up, I have always had a passion for animals and sports so I do plan on enrolling as an undergraduate majoring in Biology (Pre-Vet/Animal Sciences) and a possible minor in sports medicine in hopes of pursuing this sport with it at a different level!
