Hello everyone!! My name is Cheyenne McMahon I am currently in the class of 2024 and I want to pursue college level volleyball.
I play outside hitter position But I am also a great all around player with many skills. I have played middle blocker many times as well. I am from New York,NY. Ive been playing since middle school, I am currently on my highschool varsity team in the PSAL league; a starter Since freshman year. I practice on the varsity team everyday for 3 hours, even more. My team is filled up with people from many different backgrounds, some from other countries and different cultural backgrounds.I play club/travel for NYCVolleyball Academy and I played previously for Bayside Lighting Vipers.
I always found myself to be a leader and a team player. I always encourage others to play their best and always strive for more within themselves. I find that my volleyball team is like my second family and the gym to be my second home. I am a hard worker, my grades have always been above average with A’s. Multitasking has been a big skill in my life. I currently go to a performing arts highshool, I am a Dance major. I‘ve always been the type to connect to others; I make time for family, friends, and work. I aspire to be the best person I can be and I work for the future I desire. Playing volleyball in college would mean the world to me. Even though Ive been playing for a couple of years , I’m always listening and working with different coaches. Volleyball is a big part of my life and a sport that I want in my life forever. On top of my travel and club team, I also help out with the Boys varisty team in my school as well. Besides from volleyball I hope to find a career that suits me. I long to be a genetic engineer or even A biologist. I love science and I want a career in that field. Personaly, I’ve always seen myself as a smart cookie. I push myself when I’m struggling Or having a tough time. On a deeper level, I am someone who gets stressed easily and overthingks alot. Thouse feeeliings and moments are bound to happen when you have family, school, sports and what feels like there’s no time. It‘s easier to give in to darker days and let negative thoughts get to you, but I’ve learned to push through and keep my head up high. When down, you need to proceess your feelings and then address them. That‘s how you push through and be the best person you can be. Take time to heal and then work even harder. If I put in the work, I will find myself with a great future.
(Thankyou for your time!!!)
