As someone who has always wanted to be able to play sports since I was younger. I got the chance to start softball in 6th grade. After I found out that I wanted to keep playing softball to get better, I thought it was my main most favorite sport, and boy was I wrong. The minute I walked into my first volleyball practice in 7th grade, I instantly fell in love with the game and the competition . I strived to get better and better with volleyball. From watching college volleyball videos to see how I can improve, to staying after practice to work on my weaknesses. I try to be a leader for everyone and to be aggressive on the court. I listen to all of the criticism and take it to the net to get better. I am enthusiastic and kind to others and can be a jokester sometimes to make tough times better for everyone.
I am different from others but can adapt quick to sudden changes. With the many bumps and curves down my past it makes me ready for anything to hit or change at any moment. I am able to stay grounded and to be prepared for anything. I am able to be under pressure in many circumstances and will push my hardest til the very end.
Outside of sports I try to push myself to be better in school and to be a better person in general. At home I help my dad with anything. From him being disabled and me being able to help him, it has made me learn how to be patient and to take responsibility. Being able to balance my friends, school, sports, my home life and myself is very tricky in my aspect but I’ve gotten the hang of it.
College has always been on my mind academically and athletically. I will try my hardest to be able to get the chance to be on a college team in my near future as I push to continue my academics.
