Hi! My name is Lucia Cornelio and I am in 10th grade. I go to Jordan High School and play club at CHAVC. I started playing volleyball 4 years ago and have loved it ever since. I remember watching how graceful the sport looked and how beautiful the sport looked. From the first time I stepped on a court till now, the feeling of belonging and awe I feel is unexplainable. One of the things that I love about volleyball is that it is a team sport, so I get to interact with so many different people and make lifelong friendships. I always make sure to support my teammates on and off the court, and to let them know that I do and always will have their backs. Something else that I love about volleyball is the discipline it brought me. Discipline is not only a very important volleyball skill, it is also a very important life skill, because you have to make sure to be dialed in and focused. I am a very social person as well, so I’m always trying to meet new people and make friends. I also love baking and doing hands-on projects in my free time. In conclusion, I believe that my openness to people, hobbies, and love of volleyball makes me a competitive candidate for your college.
