Personal Statement

Ever since I stepped on the volleyball court in Middle School, I have been in love with the sport.  I'm a hard worker and give 100% every time at practices, games, and when training.  Each time I play, I endeavor to be a better player - demanding more from myself.  I'm a self-starter who dreams of going to college, representing my team, and excelling in school.  I finish what I start and strive to be a better person - in every level.  I'm coachable, quick to make changes, and a leader on my team.

Last year, my school moved from the Midwestern conference to the Mid-Piedmont conference.  It was a lot more challenging, with more skilled teams, but I still did well.  I ended up ranked #2 in blocking in the Mid-Piedmont Conference, and #18 in the state among 3A players. This year, I tried to focus on more kills and serves.  At the end of the season, I was ranked #7 in kills and #2 in aces.  I am an only child who is well-rounded.  I’m a dedicated student that takes all AP courses and dual-enrollment courses this year!  I am also very active in my community.  Between volleyball, school and community service, I’m always busy.  I’ve been able to manage my time wisely in order to make good grades and play the sport I love.

I am dedicated to making good grades, improving my volleyball skills, and being active in my community.  Even with all of these activities, I still manage to find time to support my fellow student-athletes at their events, like basketball and football.

At this time, I have been accepted to the University of South Florida!!!  Nothing would please me more, or give me more honor than to be able to suit up for my Bulls!!!
